Today, we are going to be talking about reaping and sowing. This is a very important law to everyone. In Galatians 6, Paul talks about reaping and sowing. If we think about it, everything starts with a seed. It starts with a thought in our mind. Everything starts there. When it comes to building something, a new design, it all starts with a thought, a seed. In Galatians 6:7 (NLT) it says

Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.

Mock means to make fun of or to laugh at. It says here “don’t be misled you cannot mock the justice of God” What Paul is saying here is that no matter what you do you will always harvest what you plant. No matter what you mock God about it or say to others about it. What you sow is what you reap. Verse 8

Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.

Once we grow and mature our bodies begin to decline and decay. But Paul is talking about the spiritual here. He is talking about a moral decline. If you keep planting bad seed, keeping doing bad things your morals will continues to decline. That is a dangerous place to be in.

We cannot continue to do the same things and expect different results. We tend to do this often. If we do the same things we will get the same results. This is a law in the bible. This true for the saved and the unsaved. One thing I noticed in my own life was before I was born again, I planted a lot of bad seeds. What it did is it created a domino effect in my life. What I mean by that is once one of those bad seeds popped up, all of them began to pop up and there were consequences I had to pay. And that is on me. At the time I blamed other people for it and I was wrong for that. I should never have done that because I was the one who planted those seeds. No one else. We can’t do the same things and expect different results.

So, if you find yourself in this pattern. Where nothing comes easy. It is always a struggle. No matter what you do. Nothing seems to go right. You are constantly overwhelmed by what life throws at you. It is time to reevaluate your life. It is time to look in the mirror. The man in the mirror doesn’t lie. If you look in the mirror and you don’t like the person you see, remember this, it is nobody’s fault but yours. That is something I had to deal with. For a long time when I looked in the mirror, I didn’t like the person I saw. So, it is time to look in the mirror and reevaluate your life.

But I have good news. God uses these situations to get our attention. Remember the crossroads. God brought your there to make a decision. It is time to make a decision.

I want to give you a person’s name. This person is always there. No matter what time of the day or night, no matter what my situation is. They were always there for me. They talked to me. They comforted me. Write this name down. It is the most important name you will ever know. That name is JESUS. Jesus is saying you today, ” I place before you, life and death, blessing and cursing.” Then He gives you the answer, “Choose Life.”

Until next time…Grace be with you.
